Quantitative Aptitude
There were a total of 50 questions. This was a deviation from last two years FMS as not only had the number of questions come down by around 15 but the level of difficulty was also lower. Most of the questions were stand alone types & spanned the more conventional topics like Arithmetic, Algebra & Geometry. The topics covered were Percentages, Profit & Loss, Quadratic equation, Algebraic formulae, Averages, Ratio & Proportion, Alligation & Mixture, Time & Distance, HCF & LCM, Progressions & Logarithm.  Also the section did not have any question on DI/DS.
Ideally one could attempt 38-42 questions in 40 - 45 min.
 
Logical and Critical Reasoning
There were 50 questions in this area which included 10 questions on Critical reasoning. The questions on Logical reasoning were of average difficulty with problems ranging from Sequencing, Mapping and selection/formation of groups etc. However the critical reasoning questions which were interspersed in between the Logical reasoning ones were relatively easier. The area overall was of average difficulty. Ideally one could attempt 25 - 28 questions in 40 - 45 minutes.
 
Verbal Ability
This area had a total of 75 questions. It comprised of Reading Comprehension (3 Passages 47 questions), English Usage including Synonyms & Antonyms (8+ 10 questions), Analogies (5 questions) & Fill ups(5 questions). The EU section was average as the options were pretty close with emphasis on good vocabulary. However, the RC section was easier. The length of passages varied from 1 to 4 pages while the number of questions varied from 12 to 22.However most of the questions were direct. Overall a moderate section. Ideally one could attempt 36 - 40 questions in 30 - 40 minutes.

A good score in this test for admission to FMS will be 360 +
