IBPS PO (Prelims) – Analysis of 10th and 11th October

IBPS PO (Prelims) – Analysis of 10th and 11th October

By / Feb 13, 2019

Dear Aspirant,

The preliminary round for IBPS PO selection concluded yesterday. Although there were no major differences between the pattern and level of difficulty between this week’s paper and paper of the last week, certain sections did see a slight change in the difficulty level.

Section-1 (Numerical Ability)

The questions remained almost similar to the type of questions asked on 3rd and 4th October, 2015. However, the questions on quadratic equations this time were slightly tougher than the previous ones.

IBPS Numerical Ability

Overall Difficulty Level: Moderate (calculative and time-taking)

Expected Sectional Cut-off: Between 5.5 and 7.0 marks

Section-2 (Reasoning)

The questions remained similar to the type of questions asked during the first two days. The puzzle section was difficult and time-taking (arrangement based on months and colour, and another based on directions).

IBPS Reasoning

Overall Difficulty Level: Moderate

Expected Sectional Cut-off: Between 9.5 and 10.75 marks

Section-3 (English)

The English section saw no change from the type of questions that were asked during the first two days of the exam. Both pattern and difficulty level of questions remained the same.

IBPS English

Overall Difficulty Level: Moderate (most of the questions were easy; however, the passage in certain cases was long and time taking)

Expected Sectional Cut-off: Between 5.5 and 7.25 marks

The result of IBPS PO Prelims is expected to be out by third week of October. However, waiting that long won’t be a good idea.  It’s high time to start preparing for the IBPS PO (Mains) exam. Start taking mock tests NOW
