Should your Coaching Institute go for Standalone ERP or LMS Integrated ERP

Should your Coaching Institute go for Standalone ERP or LMS Integrated ERP

Should your Coaching Institute go for Standalone ERP or LMS Integrated ERP

ERP - Ubiquitous & Essential
Today, coaching centers, big or small, can’t do without ERP to manage their enrolments, fees, inventory, communication, and performance reports. The current trend is to supplement teaching and learning with a standalone LMS, to deliver lectures, supplementary videos, assignments, assessments, etc. using an electronic medium.

Three Pillars for Success

The successful running of any coaching center rests on three pillars: academics, operations, and business promotion. But these three functions overlap and need to work in sync with one another. Coaching centers that are handling them separately using different softwares, ultimately find it difficult to manage all three domains effectively. No doubt, Academics is the core of an institute's functioning but it cannot be delinked completely from promotions and operations.
Operations would involve activities like scheduling, teacher assignments, remedial classes, result tracking, student-activity tracking etc. All this works best only with inputs from the LMS. Student (daily) performance tracking, batch-wise class performance monitoring, test attempt reports, overall performance analysis are critical to any institute's success.
Coaching center Promotion work would also encompass lead capturing through scholarship tests, seminars, and other academic activities. All these are best managed if they are linked to the LMS ultimately.

Converting Information to Feedback
An Integrated ERP-LMS System like TCYonline ensures that every stakeholder is connected not only to the institute but also to the learning of the student, which is the ultimate goal. No doubt, any ERP can share test centre results with students. But imagine an integrated system that not only communicates the results but also gives a detailed analysis of the student performance and provides remedial inputs to improve on weak areas identified. So a standalone ERP provides just information, whereas an integrated ERP-LMS provides learning feedback.

To sum up
A coaching center that uses a standalone ERP and an isolated LMS, exposes its students to two different modules, bringing in lots of inconveniences and inefficiencies. An integrated ERP & LMS, on the other hand, helps the institute save on time, money, and resources, and also to stay in touch, through the dashboard, with the overall business health. Advanced Integrated ERP systems like TCY come with the added advantages, like  options to conduct live classes through a single window where teachers can upload the lecture PPTs as per lesson plans, or to simply follow a pre-existing template from the TCY platform. So the next time when you think of an ERP, think of an ERP LMS combination and think of TCY.
